Wedding slots in Ząbkach

A civil marriage in Ząbki begins with submitting a declaration of no impediment to marriage. This document must be delivered in person to the Civil Registry Office in Ząbki. After submitting it, you must wait a minimum of 1 month before the ceremony can be performed.

Before submitting the declaration, prepare the required documents. Polish citizens should have a valid ID card or passport. The office obtains copies of birth certificates directly from the civil registry, so you usually do not need to provide them yourself.

If one of the parties is a foreigner, the procedure is more extensive. The following are then required:

• the foreigner's identity document,
• a copy of the birth certificate,
• a certificate of legal capacity to marry issued by the appropriate authorities of the country of origin,
• sworn translations of all foreign language documents.

The tax fee for drawing up the marriage certificate is 84 zł. This amount is paid during the ceremony or earlier, according to the office's instructions.

The ceremony requires the participation of two adult witnesses. They can be persons of any nationality. If you want to get married outside the Civil Registry Office in Ząbki, for example in a garden or another location of your choice, this is possible. An outdoor wedding involves an additional fee of 1000 zł and the obligation to ensure safe and dignified conditions for the ceremony.

After the ceremony, you will receive the marriage certificate. The first short copy is issued free of charge. Additional copies can be obtained under the conditions specified by the office.
