A civil wedding in Warka begins with submitting a declaration of no impediments to marriage at the Civil Registry Office. After this document is received by the engaged couple, officials set the date of the ceremony, which cannot be earlier than 1 month from the date of submission of the declaration.

Each of the engaged persons should provide a valid identity document, i.e., an ID card or passport. Polish citizens do not need to provide copies of birth certificates, as the Civil Registry Office in Warka obtains them directly from the civil registry. However, if one of the parties is a foreigner, additional documents are required, including a copy of the birth certificate, a certificate of legal capacity to marry, and sworn translations of documents.
