Wedding slots in Śrem

To have a civil wedding in Śrem, you must first visit the Civil Registry Office in Śrem in person with the required documents. Office staff will familiarize you with the procedure and reserve a ceremony date.

Polish citizens should bring a valid identity card or passport. Birth certificate copies are not required, as the office obtains them directly from the civil registry. The procedure is preceded by filing a declaration of no impediment to marriage.

From the date of filing the declaration, a statutory waiting period of at least 1 month applies. After this period expires, it is possible to set a ceremony date.

The tax fee for preparing a marriage certificate is 84 zł. This amount covers the entire administrative procedure.

During the ceremony, 2 adult witnesses must be present. They can be persons of any nationality.

Persons from outside Poland must provide additional documents: identity document, birth certificate copy, certificate of legal capacity to marry (or court ruling if obtaining one is impossible), and sworn translations of documents.

A civil wedding in Śrem can also take place outside the office premises, in the form of an outdoor ceremony. In this case, an additional fee of 1000 zł applies, and you must ensure safety and dignified conditions for the celebration. After the ceremony, the couple receives a marriage certificate, and the first short copy is issued free of charge.
