Wedding slots in Ryki

A civil marriage in Ryки begins with filing a declaration of no impediment to marriage at the Civil Registry Office. This document is the starting point for the entire procedure and must be filed no later than 1 month before the planned ceremony.

After filing the declaration, a statutory waiting period of minimum 1 month applies. During this period, officials in Ryки verify the absence of legal obstacles to marriage for both parties. After this period expires, the couple can book a specific date for the ceremony.

Required documents for Polish citizens are a valid identity card or passport. The Civil Registry Office in Ryки obtains copies of birth certificates directly from the civil registry, so there is no need to provide them. The situation is different for foreigners, who must submit:

• identity document,
• copy of birth certificate,
• certificate of legal capacity to marry (or a court order if obtaining it is impossible),
• sworn translations of all foreign language documents.

Two adult witnesses are required for the ceremony in Ryки. They can be persons of any nationality. Their role is to confirm the consent of both parties and to certify the course of the ceremony.

After the ceremony, the couple receives the marriage certificate. The first short copy is issued free of charge.
