The procedure for a civil wedding in Radom begins with filing a declaration of no impediments to marriage. After this action, a statutory waiting period of a minimum of one month applies. During this period, the Civil Registry Office in Radom verifies the submitted documents and prepares for the ceremony.

Each of the parties must possess a valid identity document, i.e. a national ID card or passport. As for certified copies of birth certificates, Polish citizens usually do not have to provide them, as the Civil Registry Office in Radom obtains them directly from the civil registry. The situation is different for foreigners, who in addition to an identity document must submit a certified copy of their birth certificate, a certificate of legal capacity to marry, and sworn translations.
