Concluding a marriage in Przytoczna requires prior submission of a declaration of no impediment to marriage. From that moment, a statutory waiting period of a minimum of 1 month applies, after which the couple can have a civil wedding.

Before the ceremony, Polish citizens should provide a valid identity card or passport to the Civil Registry Office in Przytoczna. Copies of birth certificates are obtained directly from the civil registry by the office, so couples do not need to provide them themselves.

Foreigners entering into marriage in Przytoczna must present:

• identity document,
• copy of birth certificate,
• certificate of legal capacity to marry issued by the competent authorities of the country of origin (or a court ruling if obtaining such a certificate is impossible),
• sworn translations of foreign language documents.

The marriage ceremony requires the presence of 2 adult witnesses. They can be persons of any nationality. The treasury fee for drawing up the marriage certificate is 84 zł and is collected at the time of submission of the declaration.

The couple has the option to conclude a marriage outside the headquarters of the Civil Registry Office in Przytoczna, at a location of their choice. An outdoor wedding is associated with an additional fee of 1000 zł and the requirement to ensure safety and dignified conditions for conducting the ceremony.

After the ceremony, the registrar issues the couple with the marriage certificate. The first short copy of the marriage certificate is issued free of charge.
