A civil marriage in Pakosław begins with scheduling an appointment at the Civil Registry Office. After setting a date, the couple jointly submit a declaration stating there are no obstacles to entering into marriage. From that moment, a statutory waiting period of minimum one month applies.

Each of the couple must provide required documents. Polish citizens submit a valid ID card or passport. Certified copies of birth certificates from the Civil Registry Office in Pakosław are obtained directly from the civil registry, so usually they do not need to be submitted independently.

Foreigners must prepare more carefully. Required are: identity document, certified copy of birth certificate, certificate of legal capacity to enter into marriage issued by the competent authorities of the country of origin, and certified translations of all foreign language documents.
