Entering into marriage in Ogrodzieniec begins with contacting the Civil Registry Office to establish an available ceremony date. Couples should plan their visit with adequate notice to be able to meet all procedural requirements.

The first step is to submit a declaration of no impediments to marriage. From this moment, a statutory waiting period of at least one month applies. During this period, the Civil Registry Office verifies information and prepares documentation.

Each party must provide required documents. Polish citizens submit a valid identity card or passport. Copies of birth certificates are obtained by the Civil Registry Office directly from the civil registry, so couples do not need to provide them. Foreigners, however, must submit an identity document, a copy of their birth certificate, a certificate of legal capacity to marry (or a court order when obtaining it is impossible), and certified translations of documents.
