The procedure for entering into marriage in Nowa Dęba begins with filing a statement of no impediments to marriage at the office. After this step, a statutory waiting period of a minimum of 1 month applies. This period provides time for any potential objections to the marriage to be filed.

Each party must provide the required documents. Polish citizens submit a valid ID card or passport. Birth certificates are usually not necessary, as the Civil Registry Office in Nowa Dęba obtains them directly from the civil registry. Foreigners must additionally submit a birth certificate, identity document, a certificate of legal capacity to marry (or a court order when obtaining a certificate is impossible), and certified translations of all foreign-language documents.

A civil wedding ceremony requires the presence of 2 adult witnesses. Witnesses can be persons of any nationality. The treasury fee for drawing up the marriage certificate is 84 zloty.

After the ceremony, a marriage certificate is issued. The first short copy of the document is free of charge.
