A civil marriage in Krzczonów begins with filing a declaration of no impediments to marriage at the Civil Registry Office. Both parties must appear in person, unless one of them is abroad or there are other justified reasons for filing a statement through a proxy.

After filing the declaration, a statutory waiting period of at least one month applies. During this period, the Civil Registry Office verifies the absence of legal impediments to marriage. After this period expires, the date of the ceremony can be set.

Required documents for Polish citizens are a valid identity card or passport. The Civil Registry Office independently obtains copies of birth certificates from the civil registry, so they do not need to be provided.
