Wedding slots in Konopnica

A civil marriage in Konopnica begins with filing a declaration of no impediments to marriage at the Civil Registry Office. The office accepts applications from both engaged parties, who must be present in person. After submitting the documents, a statutory waiting period of at least one month begins.

Required documents for a Polish citizen are a valid ID card or passport. Copies of birth certificates are obtained by the Civil Registry Office in Konopnica independently from the civil registry, so there is no need to provide them. The situation is different for foreigners, who in addition to an identity document must submit a copy of their birth certificate, a certificate of legal capacity to marry issued by the appropriate authorities of their country, and sworn translations of all foreign language documents.

The marriage ceremony can take place at the headquarters of the Civil Registry Office in Konopnica. There is also the option of concluding the marriage outside the office building, in a location chosen by the engaged couple. An outdoor wedding is associated with an additional fee of 1000 zlotys and requires ensuring safety and dignified ceremony conditions.

When concluding a marriage, two adult witnesses are required, who can be Polish citizens or foreigners. Their task is to confirm that the parties are acting of their own free will and meet the legal requirements.

The tax fee for drawing up the marriage certificate is 84 zlotys. After the ceremony, the engaged couple receives the marriage certificate. The first shortened copy of this certificate is issued free of charge.
