A civil wedding in Kielce begins with scheduling an appointment at the Civil Registry Office. Before the ceremony, you must submit a declaration of no impediments to marriage. From that moment, 30 days are counted, which is the statutory period after which the ceremony is possible.

The treasury fee for drawing up a marriage certificate is 84 zloty. This amount covers the registration of the marriage in the office's documents. After the ceremony, you will receive the first short copy of the certificate for free.

Documents required from a Polish citizen are a valid ID card or passport. Birth certificate copies are not necessary, as the Civil Registry Office in Kielce retrieves them from its own register.

You must bring two adult witnesses to the ceremony. They can be persons of any nationality. Their role is purely formal, but their presence is mandatory.

If one of the parties is a foreigner, additional documents are required: an identity document, a birth certificate copy, a certificate of legal capacity to enter into marriage, and sworn translations of foreign language documents.
