The procedure for entering into marriage in Karpacz begins with filing a declaration of no impediments at the Civil Registry Office. After this declaration, a statutory waiting period of at least 1 month applies. During this period, the office verifies the information provided and prepares for the ceremony.

Each of the prospective spouses must present a valid identity document: an ID card or passport. Polish citizens do not need to provide copies of birth certificates, as the Civil Registry Office in Karpacz obtains them directly from the register. The situation is different for foreigners, who in addition to an identity document must submit a copy of their birth certificate and a certificate of legal capacity to marry, or possibly a court order if obtaining such a certificate is impossible. All foreign language documents require sworn translation.

A civil wedding in Karpacz can take place at the office headquarters. However, if the couple prefers the ceremony in another location, an outdoor wedding or a wedding outside the standard USC location is possible.
