A civil wedding in Dygów begins with submitting a declaration of no impediments to marriage at the Civil Registry Office. The document must be delivered in person, and from that moment a statutory waiting period of a minimum of 1 month applies. During this period, the office conducts appropriate proceedings and verifies the absence of formal impediments.

Each of the betrothed must present a valid identity card or passport. Polish citizens do not need to provide copies of birth certificates, as the Civil Registry Office in Dygów retrieves these documents directly from the civil registry.
