The procedure for concluding a marriage at the Civil Registry Office in Dopiewo begins with the submission of a declaration of no impediments to marriage. This document should be submitted by both engaged parties in person or by authorized representatives. After submission of the declaration, a statutory waiting period of at least 1 month applies.

Required documents for a Polish citizen include a valid identity card or passport. Birth certificates do not need to be provided, as the Civil Registry Office in Dopiewo obtains them directly from the civil status register. The situation is different when one of the parties is a foreigner.

For a foreigner, the following are mandatory: identity document, birth certificate, a certificate of legal capacity to conclude a marriage issued by the appropriate authorities of the country of origin, and sworn translations of all foreign language documents. In a situation where obtaining a certificate of legal capacity is impossible, a court order can be presented instead.

The marriage ceremony takes place at the headquarters of the Civil Registry Office in Dopiewo. It is also possible to organize an outdoor wedding outside the office building, however this involves an additional fee of 1000 złoty and the requirement to ensure safety and dignified conditions for conducting the ceremony.

The tax fee for drawing up the marriage certificate is 84 złoty. Two adult witnesses must be present at the ceremony, who can be persons of any nationality. The marriage certificate is issued immediately after the ceremony, and the first short copy is free of charge.
