Concluding a marriage at the Civil Registry Office in Częstochowa begins with reserving the ceremony date. Before setting a date, you must submit a certificate of no impediments to marriage. From that moment, the statutory waiting period of a minimum of 1 month applies.

Each of the engaged couple must present a valid identity document: a personal ID or passport. Polish citizens usually do not need to provide copies of birth certificates, as the office obtains them directly from the civil registry. It is different for foreigners, who are obliged to submit a copy of the birth certificate, a certificate of legal capacity to marry, and certified translations of required documents.

The ceremony requires the presence of 2 adult witnesses. These can be people of any nationality, it is only important that they are adults and aware of the significance of their role.

The tax fee for drawing up the marriage certificate is 84 zł and is paid at the time of marriage. The certificate is issued directly after the ceremony, and the first short copy is free of charge.

Częstochowa also offers the possibility of concluding a wedding outside the office premises, in the form of an outdoor ceremony. This option involves an additional fee of 1000 zł and the requirement to ensure safety and dignified conditions for the ceremony.
