Wedding slots in Chojna

A civil marriage in Chojna begins with filing a declaration of no impediments to marriage. The couple should report to the Civil Registry Office in Chojna with the required documents and schedule the ceremony date. After filing the declaration, a statutory waiting period of a minimum of one month applies.

Polish citizens must have a valid identity card or passport. Copies of birth certificates usually do not need to be submitted, as the Civil Registry Office obtains them automatically from the civil status register. The procedure is simplified and takes less time than preparing full documentation.

Foreigners must submit additional documents:

• identity document
• copy of birth certificate
• certificate of legal capacity to marry issued by the appropriate authorities of the country of origin

Couples can choose to have a wedding at the seat of the Civil Registry Office in Chojna or at another location. An outdoor wedding or one outside the office premises involves an additional fee of 1000 zł and the requirement to ensure safety and dignified conditions for the ceremony.
