Wedding slots in Biłgoraju

A civil wedding in Biłgoraj begins with filing a declaration of no impediment to marriage at the Civil Registry Office. USC employees will explain all requirements and reserve a ceremony date, which cannot be earlier than 1 month from the date of filing the documents.

Each of the engaged couple must present a valid identity card or passport. Polish citizens usually do not need to provide copies of birth certificates, as the USC obtains them directly from the civil registry. Foreign nationals, however, must submit a copy of their birth certificate, identity document, and a certificate of legal capacity to marry issued by the appropriate authorities of their country. All documents in a foreign language require certified translation into Polish.

The court fee for drawing up a marriage certificate is 84 zł. If the couple decides on an outdoor wedding or a ceremony in a place other than the USC headquarters in Biłgoraj, an additional fee of 1000 zł should be expected. The office will ensure that the ceremony conditions are dignified and safe.

The ceremony requires 2 adult witnesses. They can be persons of any nationality, it is only important that they are adults and capable of legal acts.

After the ceremony, the couple receives a marriage certificate. The first short copy of this certificate is free and issued immediately after the marriage is concluded.
