A civil marriage in Bierawa begins with a visit to the Civil Registry Office, where the future spouses file a joint declaration of no impediments to marriage. This document must be signed personally by both parties.

After filing the declaration, there is a statutory waiting period of a minimum of one month. During this time, the Civil Registry Office in Bierawa verifies the data and prepares for the ceremony. The wedding date can be scheduled for a day after this period expires.

Polish citizens should bring a valid identity card or passport. The Civil Registry Office obtains birth certificate copies independently from the civil registry, so there is no need to provide them.
